AAA/MAJORS BASEBALL/SOFTBALL PLAYER EVALUATIONS

2021 AAA/Majors Renton Little League Evaluations

Who:    Registered Baseball and Softball players at the AAA and Majors Levels (Ages 9-12)

What:  Players will be evaluated on hitting, running, fielding and throwing.  Evaluations for Pitchers and Catchers is optional.

Why:    To gauge skill levels for placement in divisions and manager insight into drafting teams.

How:    Fielding – successful fielding of ground balls

                Throwing – accuracy in hitting a target from a set range

                Hitting – Stance, Balance and Contact

                Running – time for 60’ and shuttle run

When:  Saturday, March 13th.   Makeup date TBD.

                Majors Baseball – 10am to 11:30am

                AAA and Majors Softball – 12pm to 1:30pm

                AAA Baseball – 2pm to 3:30pm

Where: Liberty High School Softball Field (enter off of 164th Ave SE).

What to bring:  Safety equipment (protective cup), Bat, Batting Helmet, Glove, tennis or turf shoes (no metal cleats).  Dress appropriate for Baseball/Softball activities.

Arrival:  Check in at the desk and your player will be provided a number to wear on the front of their shirt.  All scoring will be related to this number.

Evaluations will take place after registration has ended.  After evaluations have been completed each player will be given a composite score based on the evaluation criteria.  The players will then be ranked by overall composite score.  This information will be provided to the Managers for their reference during the draft.  The draft as well as the scores are kept confidential.  Players should not know what their score was nor where they were drafted.  Teams will be drafted in the coming week.
